Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives...one heart at a time. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high, and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport to reach every coach and every athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping, and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire, and change the world through gospel.

Vision: To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

Mission: To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Ministry Experience:

As a local church Minister, I have had the privilege of pursuing, shepherding, and discipling students from middle school to college-age (11-25) for over 20 years. During these last two decades, I have also worked alongside students in middle school, high school, and colleges, both in California and Alabama, through FCA, ranging from being a huddle coach on campus to running FCA beach volleyball camps of over 100 athletes. It has been a joy to disciple student athletes wit the Gospel through this ministry.

About Me:

I'm originally from Southern California. I have gone from playing indoor and sand volleyball for over 28 years to now coaching the next generation, including my daughters, Madison and Savannah!

I have been the college minister at the Church at Brook Hills for over 6 years now. I have been married to my wife, Jeannette (also a D1 collegiate volleyball athlete and FCA leader), for almost 18 years. Jeannette and I have five children: Madison (14), Gavin (12), Damien (10), Savannah (7), and Derek (5). We love being outdoors as a family, doing anything from hiking and camping in the mountains, to playing sports and having fun in the sand at the beach!

Bible Study

We will be hosting a quick Bible Study on Monday nights. We'll host the same study twice in one night: a 6:10-6:15pm study for those coming for the late practice and a 6:35-6:45pm study for those leaving the early practice.

The study will take approximately 15 mins and is called a "Huddle". A Huddle is a targeted study within a unique setting/environment that encourages and challenges team members to live and compete according to biblical principles.

Bring your Bible or borrow one when you get here! All Huddles will take place in the Upper Room (locker room). Coach Rocky is leading our FCA journey and there is a team of coaches who will be helping him on a rotating schedule.
